Developers, richieste di permessi & fabexplosive

Ciao,

1. Ho implementato i famosi developers, a cui fabex ci teneva tanto (che però nn lo toccavano minimamente, per sua stessa ammissione). Flaggati pure come developer.
2. Ho creato la pagina Richieste di permessi per richiedere di avere un bot, essere admin, permessi temporanei ecc.. E' venuto bene, specialmente il preload della sezione ;-)
3. Fabexplosive, come ti ha detto, ha fatto esperimenti (checkuser,oversight e altro che nn so). Per i log ho voluto che tu ne prendessi atto. Al momento, lui dopo tutti gli esperimenti si era messo l'oversight. In attesa di una decisione, lo rimuovo :). Direi che si può già collaudare la nuova procedura. A breve preparerò i template per chiudere le discussioni.

unverified.py

Ciao. Qualche giorno fa ti avevo scritto su 'pedia riguardo a questo .py, sul fatto che non riuscivo a farlo girare. Possibile che sia un problema solo mio? Forse è un problema di copia/incolla (anche se ho usato l'editor del Python). Eventualmente potresti inviarmi una copia del tuo .py via mail (trixt . at . katamail punto com)? Idea

Dici che è possibile integrare Botwiki:Unverified.py (ora funziona, anche se non segnala le immagini col template PD, non so perché :( in modo che il bot tolga dalle voci le immagini che segnala? In pratica, dopo aver avvisato l'utente deve vedere quali voci contengono l'immagine e andare a rimuovere il wikilink che la richiama. Che dici, si può fare? Grazie P.S. Si, esatto, l'idea è questa (comunque era solo per sapere se si poteva fare: occorre l'ok della comunità perché almeno un po' di consenso ci deve essere), e in teoria va fatto anche per le unverified-PD (sono in dubbio anche quelle, dopotutto). Lo so, hai tutte le ragioni, sono stato un pirla a non pensarci subito... Mi dispiace, davvero, di averti fatto fare una cosa quasi per niente... Scusami :( Per i messaggi nessun problema: poi se vuoi ti passo i miei; li ho personalizzati in modo da farli meno aggressive (ovvero senza il riquadro arancione). Se vuoi te li faccio vedere così valuti o meno se lasciare i tuoi o cambiarli, come preferisci. Spero che sia fattibile il fatto di eliminare i wikilink alle immagini dopo sette giorni; sai com'è, ogni volta orfanizzare una trentina di immagini unverified per la cancellazione non è bello (tutti gli admin che lo fanno e hanno un bot uccideranno per avere lo script! Dimenticavo. Il problema è che nonostante ci siano utenti con una pagina discussione, o userpage, vuota, il bot mi dice che "Non ci sono utenti da benvenutare". Ho provato anche a dirgli di benvenutare utenti con o edit. --Eagleal 14:07, 21 mag 2007 (UTC)

Riesci a far girare un bot che aggiorni i link ai namespace? Intendo user talk, user, ecc ecc.? Altra cosa, d'ora in poi tutte le comunicazioni tecniche te le faccio sul bug tracker, stessa cosa vale per te. In questa maniera tutti i siti li ho li sotto mano e li gestisco comodamente. Tra parentesi, mi sn montato sul mio pc OTRS looooooooool. E' fighissimo!. D'ora in poi, la lingua principale è l'inglese, Filnik, per tua stessa scelta. Quindi tutte le versioni inglesi vanno in Articlename, mentre quelle italiane in [[Articlename/it] dove ovviamente articlename è il nome della pagina in oggetto. come vedi ho fatto di nuovo capolino o quasi. Ancora qualche giorno al massimo e torno alla carica :)

Mi dispiace per l'improvvisa scomparsa, ma Windows ha deciso di cedere :) E avevo fatto la cazzata (ripetuta con questa installazione, ma che ci posso fare) di mettere i dati sulla stessa partizione in cui ho windows, quindi ho dovuto appena spostare installare un altro winzozz su un altro disco, spostare i dati su quello, installare windows sul disco principale e rispostarvi i dati. Vabbe', che ci posso fare. Adesso sn online, anche se nn molto, devo ancora sistemare questa installazione come dio comanda, ma bon, qlc gg e sn back :)

IRC Recentchanges Bot

Hi Filnik;

It would be great to add an IRC Recentchanges bot to this wiki (as well as all the wikimedia foundation wikis have). If you are the developer of this wiki, it won't be much hard; you only need to follow the instructions of mw:Manual:IRC RC Bot. I can help you if you need help (I did it in a local wiki), but it will a great idea to allow users test some of the bots that uses this functionality (such as Python:Diffbot.py).

codecs, utf-8 and windows command line

Hello. I use windows command line, and when I use python with Chinese, the windows command line seems not to work. Example:

Do you know how to get this working? I already have all the python scripts, and has used them many times in the Tagalog wiki but I can't seem to use this function even here in this wiki. But it should be also possible do leave e.g. "Adoptiert" empty. The article name of Wikia (de) should also be asked by "raw_input". In the summary should be the text "Wiki-Import". Updated Bot

Hello Filnik! I updated the wiki-import script and uploaded it here. Now I would ask you for your help. The script is filtering the domain from the excel file and is saving it as the variable "link". Sometimes the variable include the prefix "de.". Now the bot should dedect the "de.": When there is a "de." the bot should built the following code

logo = 'http://images.wikia.com/' + link + '/de/images/b/bc/Wiki.png'

The bot should built the following code, when there isn't a "de.":

logo = 'http://images.wikia.com/' + link + '/images/b/bc/Wiki.png'

Now I'm having a new difficult question/task. Until now the bot gets his information from the excel file. Is there a possibility to get the information from the english central wikia (interlanguage de => en). The Bot should ask me, for the article name. For Example: I tell him the page, James Bond. Now he should search the german description and save the information in the variables - for the (old) script. Now he should ask me for the pagename at the german central (-> BondWiki). newimages.py

I wasn't thinking something that your tool logged in and did the changes.

More so people can generate a list from that tool that saves locally on their machine and using pywikipediabot (not sure which one) parse that file to then edit said pages with required changes.

So instead of manually editing ALL of those image pages, people put them all in on the one page on the script you have. "Save" the entries locally and parse it to edit their wiki. 202.63.57.239 13:55, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

Where I can test the bot?

Hi, Where I can test the bot? I mean ... can I create some stub-pages and templates in order to later test add_text.py script.

It seems add_text.py works incorrectly.

For exactly, there is template1 which links to page1 page2 page3 page4 I want to add {{template1}} to the bottom of all pages which linked from this template.

As I understand, I should type something like this

python add_text.py -except:"\{\{([Tt]emplate:|)Template1\}\}" -text:"{{Template1}}" -links:Template:Template1

Ciao sono un utente wikipedia che ha creato un bot funzionante. Ho lavorato a progetti di wiki più piccole e ovviamente meno importanti e ora vorrei inserire il mio bot anche in wikipedia. Secondo te la comunità approverebbe il mio bot dato che sono appena arrivato??

Removal of an unethical tag from Sinhala Wikipedia articles

We at Sinhala Wikipedia require to remove an unethical tag from certain articles. We require to make a bot for that purpose. The tag is in English and reads as:

http://botwiki.sno.cc appears like a dead wiki. You have User:Yfucynovyba redirecting to an attack site. I reverted his damage, but he needs to be blocked.
